Magazine Construction

Whilst creating the magazine front cover I have screenshotted stages of the production, so show what steps in which I took which influenced decisons, on the final product.

This is what I took first time, I found the font of the 'Total Film' masthead, and created this myself, making all of the writing on the front cover also this font to be consistant.
I placed the 'UK Exclusive' 'THE RECOLLECTION' 'Newest Neo-Noir To Date' in the centre, but wasnt sure on the positioning.

So below shows the new positioning of  'UK Exclusive' 'THE RECOLLECTION' 'Newest Neo-Noir To Date' and this is what i decided to keep, as it looks edgy and different, which refelects the Neo-Noir genre.

Further Poster Developments

These are a couple more of the photoshop adapted posters that I have made to see what they could potentially be like. However analysing and letting people give us their opinion on them did not go down well as there were so many negatives, as followed;-

  • Sourcing the glass shot would be very difficult.
  • This does not tell much of the story
  • The title does not fit with the recurring font, and that one did not look right.
  • Not much going on on the poster, a lot of black space.
  • The colouring looks very dull and does not attract very many people.

  • The colouring is unique and may attract attention
  • The font again does not link with the recurring font that is on everything else.
  • All of the information is there but the position of everything looks cluttered and confusing.
  • A lot of the audience did not like picture/props and the tag like apposed to the simple quotes on the other ones that we have had.
We will not be using either of these posters as the are not fitting the purpose we need them too which is promote the film to it's target demographic and the audience we asked did not like it, therefore we have no use for them.
